A tough away game but equally as tough for them
If we approach it the way we did Cheltenham, tentative, scared to attack, sideways passing, Dion missing sitters, then Johnson Clark-Harris will clean up If we take the Charlton approach, exciting, marauding, blistering attacking with intent, then Posh will be beaten
COYWM let’s do this⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️

I agree rioch there’s mo point staying back and letting Posh attack us we need to put the pressure on them. My main concern is who plays left Centre back and right wing back? Will IE risk playing M’bete or move Jones to replace Johnson or will Jones himself move into that place? If he does who comes in at RWB? Will he risk playing Isgrove there after his long lay off or will he consider playing Williams on that side? I think the rest of the team is fine and midfield will be Dempsey Morley and Lee with Shortire coming on later. Who do we start up top alongside Dion? Got to be Adebeyejo for me although he didn’t really impress last week if I’m honest and maybe the strength and experience of Jerome might be preferable. Evatt will have been working with all of them this week though knowing what players he has so they should know what they’re doing. I think I’d personally leave M’bete until Tuesday against MK to give him his run out and stick with Jones, Rico and Toal because we’re 7ndoubtedly going to come up against some sustained pressure. A point wouldn’t be a bad result but really these are the games we should be winning if we seriously want promotion. I’m going to be bold and go 2-0 to Wanderers and another clean sheet for Traf.

W63 They always seem to get 2 goals, or at least they have in their last few games, so scoring won’t be an issue for them if we haven’t sorted the defensive positions and I think Fergie junior knows how to approach games like this better than anyone in this league Forgot about that Mbete kid (sounds like an impression of Michael Crawford - Some Mothers Do Ave Em)😂😂🙂
Anyway
I’d go with Jerome to start all day long. His experience on the pitch will be invaluable, in fact, give him the armband now Then perhaps swap him for Adeboyejo on 70 mins if we are in command

Yes big game this one. Without injuries and suspensions I think we win. Would be OK with a draw now. Just on my way to the match. Stopped at the the Blue Ball, Braunston forsome lunch. Up the wanderers

Have a good trip Sparky and make sure the boys bring something back. I’d settle for a point like you but personally I think we can win and to be fair it’s time we did against those around and above us like we did at Barnsley and Charlton. Safe journey.

What a day in League One.
Ipswich V Sheff Weds Peterborough V Bolton Plymouth V Portsmouth Wycombe V Derby
With the exception of Barnsley V Cambridge that's 8 of the top 9 all up against each other (ok it may pan out differently but looks that way)
Question is do we want victories for Pompey, Wycombe and perhaps a draw at Ipswich and keep the automatics alive OR do we want Sheff Weds, Derby and Plymouth to take points and keep our strong hold on those play off spots?
I suppose each of us may differ but we need to do our job first of all. I guess if we won there may be more of a feeling that we can still do top two. But failure to win then we may as well be pragmatic and want to keep teams below us at bay. It will be an odd Soccer Saturday watch today.
For us. We let Aimson go and replace him with Mbete. Therefore Mbete plays. No point in "getting him up to speed" Aimson was up to speed so to bring an unready Mbete in makes less sense today as it did in the window. I also think Sadlier would have gotten a RWB spot today allowing Jones to cover across the back. Spilt milk maybe?
So Jones RWB. Mbete LCB. John LWB. Lee AM and Adeboyejo up front. Need to learn from this season. Chop changing the front line failed to work for anyone. Just give it more time and Jerome to get his chance later in the game.
Hopefully a 2-1 win for us today and other results go our way(whatever they may be)

A crunch game today.
Victory and a place in the play off looks very likely.
Defeat and suddenly teams are just behind us with games in hand.
Decisions to be made regarding the defence.
I would go Jones, Toal, Santos, Mbete and John across the back which has everyone playing on their correct side of the pitch. If we bring Williams in at RWB, it would mean an iffy left side of defence with Jones and John.
I think that the midfield of Morley, Dempsey and Lee picks itself although the way the manager is speaking he could include Shoretire instead of Lee. I think Lee is by far and away our best midfield player so he has to start for me.
Upfront it will be Charles and Adeboyejo.
For all the talk of injuries/suspensions that looks a decent team to me. The bench may be weaker than normal but the starting 11 should be strong.
I have gone from one extreme to the other with visits to London Road. A 3-2 win but then that ridiculous 5-4 defeat.
Peterborough will be looking for a win today and maybe even expecting it after 3 wins on the trot since they changed manager but, as Barnsley and Charlton showed, we are more than capable of winning.
A 2-1 win again today.

No matter what team we put out today it's getting to the time if we are not winning then don't get beat. Easier said than done but I feel as though we have the players to get us into the play-offs but don't tinker about to much play his best 11 in the right positions and attack because we have nothing to fear in this league. 2-0 win today playing attacking football 2-0 defeat if we piss about at the back because they will not give us time to piss about. Onwards & upwards COYWM

Hopefully a 2-1 win for us today and other results go our way(whatever they may be) I agree that Lee must start OM, he is by far our best No10 but personally I’d play Shortire up top alongside Dion as IE did at Charlton because I believe the pair would run their defence ragged. If it’s not working or they tire we have the option of Jerome and Victor to bring on later and maybe Shortire to drop back in place of Lee. Defence is a tricky one and I don’t know if Mbete is yet ready for a game like this, maybe keep him for Tuesday against MK to see how he goes. Much as I prefer Jones on the right I still think he’s more than capable of moving over to the left if need be so that’s what I’d do and have John LWB and Williams RWB and let’s have a go at them as we did at Charlton. If we do that I’m confident we’ll win so Posh 0 Wanderers 2.
