So here we are
Last home game of the season. Win it and we’re up⚽️⚽️⚽️
As per my last 8 thread starts, I’ve won them all and I’m hoping my luck stays for this, the promotion game This is our FA Cup Final This is our ‘if we win we’ll stay in business’ game (we’ll not really that grotesque) This is our chance to show the world of football what can happen in the face of such adversity, with grit and determination, with blood, sweat and tears, with gumption, when really, we shouldn’t have even been a trading football club at all 2 years ago Now look at us! Winning the hearts and minds of the footballing nation, we are incredible, we are amazing, we are 🏴🏴BOLTON WANDERERS FOOTBALL CLUB 🏴🏴
We’ll still probably only win 1-0😂😂😂 but I’d take that in a heartbeat

Yes, let’s hope your run continues rftr and we get the win, no matter how scruffy it might be. Exeter play Tuesday but I can’t see it having much effect on how they approach our game as they need to win as a draw probably won’t be good enough for them anyway. That should suit us and if we have Sarce and John back, we will field probably our strongest side. Let’s hope we win well this time though instead of squeaking through. I’ll go for 2-0 to the Whites as I don’t expect any slip ups this time and then hopefully if other results go for us, the Championship a week on Saturday?

I think this will be the game when all the players will be on the ball and up for it. I think they'll want to really put on a good performance and style. I'm actually feeling (for a change) quite confident, hope I still feel the same come Saturday morning! I've just tried to purchase a ifollow ticket for the match but only being offered commentary, is this to do with this weekends football ban on social media? Or have all the ifollow 'tickets' already sold out?

Not really sure how to react to Exeter’s 3-2 win tonight which subsequently relegated Grimsby Town, although it highlights that even lowly Grimsby can score more than once yet again. So Exeter scored 3 times against a really shit defence, that same defence kept us to a late 90th minute goal at Blundell Park but they at least managed to breach Exeter’s twice which should give us room for confidence, provided we can score more than once. Our defence will have to be on their guard against the leagues highest scorers too come this Saturday so it’s not going to be plain sailing as we gun for promotion

Grimsby were 2-1 up but got a man sent off. Nearly held out and guess at 2-2 it was too late so either gave up or just went all out and got caught again.
So cant read too much into that. At one point it was looking good for FGR with Salford and Exeter not winning. Moments later and both got the 3 points. Now FGR have to turn up against Tranmere. Walsall and Bradford are Morecambes games. Not much to play for. Exeter must be spurred on with a late revival. Saturday will be a tough match now, can see a draw leading to a nervous final game but theres still a title to win. 6 points asks questions from Cambridge and Cheltenham, who will be playing without the pressure but also without the need to win.

This for me is our biggest game in our recent revival win this and it's up we go draw or God forbid get beat and it's squeaky bottom time down at Crawley. I believe the team will do the busyness on Saturday but it won't be easy 2-1 Bolton onwards and upwards stay safe one and all COYWM

Yet again, a vital vital match.
We’ve been building up to this day for the last 3 months so let’s do it.
Like everyone, I think Sarcevic will return as a no 10 with Lee back in with Williams. Hopefully, we have a sub keeper on the bench as I don’t want to tempt fate.
I tend to be more confident with away games than home matches these days. We have a style that can win every away game but at home it is harder to break down the opposition.
I am not sure whether it is better for Exeter to still be in the play-off hunt or to be completely out of it. Out of it would imply nothing to play for but maybe just sit back and thwart us but needing a win for the play offs will surely mean that they have to attack and give us opportunities with our style of play.
I can see us needing 2 goals today for promotion so it’s a 2-1 win and celebrations.

I’m pleased they’re still in it David and in reality they need to win, so there should be no parking the bus for them, which should help us. We just have to make sure they don’t score first because that could change everything. I really hope we can find where the net is today, we’ve missed so many sitters it’s hard to believe. Sadly, it will probably be another nail biter but like you I feel we will need more than one goal to win. I’d really like to see Dapo finally get one and hopefully Doyle will get to his twenty for the season so much to look forward to. I think we’ll do it and then it will be interesting to see what this BooHoo chap has to announce from his talks with Shaz!!

Glad to see Arthur back in the squad instead of Elbow. Is that a change of heart from IE or just a realisation that Arthur offers more than we’ve so far seen from Zebedee? I’m surprised because IE was begging him up in the week.
