If they were fairly clever they would have all they could to release the statement today. Wouldnt have got any attention on main stream news, barely covered on other outlets due to Poch/Jose.
I think they know the decision, the delay makes me think there are some legal issues they need ironing out. Or they are working on bargaining chip style deal for us to accept.
I think its safe to say that had it been a decision favourable to us it would have been announced already so im expexting the worst. I think they probably know Macclesfield this season is similar boat territory and i expect this trend will continue and there will be a new crisis club per season so think they'll want to get a firm line drawn in the sand.
I hope from now on the first wages that fail results in an audit and if the results are not promising then action starts there and then. Not 8 or 10 months later when all damage has been done, as much taken out of the club as possible and debts allowed to spiral.
Argument may be "in business thats not how its done. Its not common practise. You cannot do x,y and z. To that EFL response should be these are our rules, you dont have to abide with them. Keep the business and the club but we wont allow your team in our organisation."

I’ve paid my £30 to the supporters club as well Kenglo and like you feel that if the EFL punish us harshly there should be an appeal. Like you I also consider that we were fully punished last year for the Brentford game and that should not be brought up again this year. Unlike you though I think we will and quite rightly,be punished for calling off the Doncaster match. It’s true that it wasn’t FV who made the decision but since they are now our owners, they will be responsible for any penalties arising and if they feel it’s unfair they will have to take it up with the Administrator. Doncaster were totally innocent in the decision and as a general rule you just can’t have clubs arbitrarily calling off games without going through the proper channels. If it were that simple, I’d just award the game and 3 points to Donny but I’m afraid it’s not simple because if the EFL did do that they would face challenge from other clubs who might be affected. I’ve no doubt they’re looking at all the legal implications but I’m not sure they’ll find an easy way out of it whichever way they turn. I suspect they are delaying until we have more points on the board so that if we do receive a points deduction it won’t take us back to a negative position but that’s just a wild guess. Personally, I think the longer they take the worse it gets for them so let’s hope a statement is made soon to at least move us on the the next step if necessary.

No doubt the latest news of the EFL has now permeated through to all. It looks as if our £30s will be needed by the club for an appeal to the sports court of appeal, 63, and I suggest the Supporters Trust make their £20,000 plus "just giving" money available to Sharon and her team to sort out these EFL miscreants once and for all. Just fancy appointing an independent panel to look into a case and then rejecting what seemed a very good and fair recommendation. I would still like to read the club's submission and the names who were on the "independent panel".
