Another game between two mediocre teams in what was hardly a great advert for the so called ‘hardest league in the world.’ The most appropriate score would have been 0-0 as Boro were definitely no great shakes and, but for two utter howlers, Parky could well have got away with it. Indeed, after a wretched first half, we were the better team for much of the second half and could/should have equalised before the injury time gift. Many opposition teams look at their weakest when put under pressure and, once Oztumer replaced Vela and Williams moved a bit more forward, we got them worried. However, it is time to call time on one of Lowe and O’Neil and despite his crass mistake for the first goal, I prefer the latter. Also both Hobbs and Wilson looked better than Beevers, who surely needs a breather. Grounds looks better as a wing back, but is useless in a back four and We definitely need to get Oztumer more involved.
So, how about a back four of Olkowski, Wheater, Hobbs/Wilson Taylor, midfield diamond of O’Neil, Williams and Vela and Oztumer at the point, and Noone playing across the park behind Josh ( or Josh and Doidge in tandem).
Ipswich are there to be had by a bold selection. Is Parky up to it?

I think Ken and Phil thinks we have short memories. Yeah the Forest match was euphoric but don't forget the spell before that. Dire football, brainless tactics and stubborn selections. Deja vu substations and the same excuses.
When we stayed up Kens initial thinking must have been relief rather than expectancy. He should have said then think it's better got all if we go separate ways.
W63 had taken all the abuse weeks ago, couple of others two, AndyWalker because it's blatant to see that although the results were there the performances were not. Likened it at the time to no one seeing the inevitable iceberg and no one listening to the people that could see it.
Well a defeat on Saturday and I think we will be back to the majority wanting Parky out. And I'm again in the position I was in last April where I cannot see us winning. May get a point against poor teams.
And that said if you told me that we would line up with Noone, Oz, Williams, Wildschut and Vela and Doidge up front I would think that's a team easily capable of dominating against Ipswich. But Lowe, O Neil, Murphy and probably Buckley will be there to slow it down

For some reason the BN wouldn’t post my comment last night, perhaps down to the quote ‘never text or email when your angry” was the reason for the block All I wanted to say was this, Ken, if you cannot afford to sack this deluded NON dimensional nitwit, then send him home ON FULL PAY (that would amount to an imaginary Christian Doidge transfer fee) and put Diddy David Lee in charge until we can bring in the likes of Moyes Warburton etc, although I have great confidence that Lee would entertain the paying punters (Andy Walkers term for the SupaWhite fans😡) and would probably earn the right to take the job on full time Act fast Ken or reap the consequences of failure.

I maybe way of base here but are we treating PP and the team a tad harsh just give me a minute here to explain. We are never going to win the league or get promoted staying up has got to be our top priority so with what we have got are our players and management team doing the best they can or is it us the fans expectations just a little to high. We know nothing is going to change until the present situation ie chairman/owner call him what you will gets some money or sells up so maybe we just have to take it on the chin and enjoy the wins as and when they come and except we are going to get beat more often than not. Cheers 🍻

Hey don't get me wrong I don't want to see 💩 like last night and in other games but all I'm saying is that no matter what or how he's doing it he's doing it his way and it's killing the entertainment for the fans but as long as the 13 or 14 thousand keep turning up Anderson will keep him on. Things won't change that's all I'm saying 😢😢🤷♂️

Chip, the league position is not the issue. In fact even though we're dropping like a stone, we are still in a better than expected position. But that will be shortly lived.
For me PP had his 100th game in charge of us. How many of them games have we actually gone and won a game, deservedly, in style. Half a dozen? Less?
Cup runs non existent. Fans either staying away or walking away from the stadium heads down, no fun, no enjoyment and no improvement.
I'm probably harsher than most on PP as I would have looked for better after the 1st season when we had a lot of chances to secure promotion against some pretty shoddy club's and struggled.

I had the pleasure of going last night, my thoughts 1. The first half was a training match - attackers v defenders. We contributed to our own downfall and without that I don't think Boro would have scored so in Phils mind his tactics were justified 2. When Oz came on he made so much space for himself but it looked like they didn't want to pass to him. He played a great dummy letting the ball go past him but it was a waste as we lost possession so easily 3. Pullis was jumping up and down getting animated as he thought we were going to nick a point. Without the defensive mistakes we would have got a point, albeit playing anti-football

Without the defensive mistakes we would have got a point, albeit playing anti-football Having watched on i-follow, I completely agree Cadders. I think this was one of those ( few in my opinion) games in which battening down the hatches is justifiable. As you say, without the schoolboy errors, we’d have drawn, or perhaps, had Vela or Grounds taken their good chances, won. Frustrating a superior side to then draw or nick it is not, in my view, prehistoric football or anti entertainment. It’s doing your job as best you can. Ipswich, however, is a different matter. Winless, rock bottom. We have to see ourselves as the stronger team here from the start and Parky has to set the stall out to dominate and win. I think that’s his problem. He’s so used to seeing his team as the weakest, the disadvantaged, the no hopers, that he can’t get out of that mindset and actually plan to win when we are obviously the better team. To me, that’s the strongest argument for replacing him.

I can't agree Alp.
In hindsight you could say. That goal was an individual error. We could cut that out. The late goal was avoidable too.
We cut our the mistakes and finish our chance and we could be going home with 3 points.
But that's not how it works. Had Boro not have scored from that goal the game changes. They up the gears, they throw more caution to the wind knowing that there's no counter punch. Boro would have attacked us until they scored. Then eased down. It's Pullis way.
Our possession was 30% at HT and better at full time. Had we been at 0-0 we would have gone to 25/20% and I'm assuming quality like Boro have they would have found a way.
PP would have loved a 1-0 defeat. If someone could have got sent off or they scored from the spot that would help him no end in his post match conference.
