I wonder if the other Wanderers squander a 2 goal haul after 20 odd minutes like we did last night as they sit comfortably?? Doubt it and if they do the same to us on Saturday, we’ll be well out of it

Interesting comments from Big Sam and Simon Jordan on TalkSport last week or two. Allardyce admitted that the managers contracts are all rubbish really because no chairman ever pays in full. Jordan confirmed that it's a misconception and managers just don't get anywhere near thier contract and most of the time they're lucky to get till the end of the season. Therefore effectively every man is on a rolling contract.
As I've already said sacking a manager had never backfired for us. In the very short term it has always leads to a positive turnaround albeit limited. I mean the difference between Megson to Coyle and Freedman to Lennon is nigt and day. Think it's that initial flip between dull and rigid to bright and fluent works well instantly. (Then slows, falters and ultimately fails).
The main reason I want Parky gone is because I don't trust him with making any more signings. Lennon was guilty of this too. Signing 4 players for cheap and then blurting on about needing more quality. Sorry Phil you want to bolster your attacking options, what's Wilbraham doing there? Who's car is he washing? How much is Buckley, Noone, Morais and Cullen gettin paid. Where's Karacan? Sell 4 of them and I'll get you a Nugent, Rhodes type striker.

First of all Cullen is not ours to sell but I agree he is a waste of money at the moment as he is not ready for first team football and should be sent back to West Ham. I think we probably have players in our development squad who are no worse anyway.
Secondly, its all very well saying "sell 4 of them" but you need a willing buyer. How much do you think any of them would fetch anyway? Even with a willing buyer, I doubt we'd get more than £250k between them. That might buy Nugent but he's getting on and we'd probably not be able to afford his wages. Rhodes would cost at least £2M and again could not afford the wages. Who do you see as that type of striker?
If we bring in more players in the next window, they have to be better than anyone else we have and good enough to start every week. I don't want someone else's 19 year old prospect.

Sorry I am wrong there saying we should sell. I meant get rid really. Wilbraham was taking about coaching at Ashton Gate, where he's a folk hero so I imagine he could return to that role. Cullen could return(I'm not even having a pop at him, he was one of the players of league 1 last season so think he's got far more about him than Pratley) and I think the others could go on loan to Blackpool.
And we could look to bring someone else in on loan, I expect in January those that have spent cash and it's not quite happened in this league Boro, Derby, Villa, Hull etc will go again in January that could leave to exits. Someone like Banford. Will West Brom new man still fancy a player like Robson-Kanu? He would fit the bill more than Madine I think. Calvert Lewin probably won't get a place if Everton bring in the required strikers they need.
Then again Julio Baptista is still available.
Ricky Lambert is the one for me I think we could try and get on board. Don't even need to wait for January. (I've no idea with this one though)

I personally think OM that since we're virtual certs for relegation, I'd rather try and bring through a few younger players than sign older players who are on the way down. Unless a new buyer for the club comes in we will, if we're still here, have the same problems next year and still be stuck with Parkinson so I'd rather try and at least look forward to finding a couple of talents we can sell to keep the club afloat. I'm afraid it's hard to even try to be positive under the current management so watching aged has beens plodding about isn't something I can get awfully excited about.

WS63 if you're on one of the positive/negative spectrum and lofty the lion is on the other id plant myself nearer your end but I cannot see how we can be considered dead Certs for relegation.
Have I seen 3 worse teams? Do I think we will stay up? Do we deserve to stay up? I'd say no. Parky may keep us up with his ways like Megson did.
I just think there's so many formations and combinations that could work and we're going with the ones we know really don't.

I totally agree OM and that is exactly my point and why I want rid of Parkinson. Every contributor on here has their own opinions and suggestions as to how to improve things yet every week Parkinson does the same things with the same result. I'm not saying he should chop and change, we do need a settled core but surely just trying something different occasionally at least, could produce results. The insistence in playing Madine up top with Vela supporting doesn't work, has never worked, or resulted in the goals we need, yet we know it will still occur. I could quote other instances but it would be pointless as we all know them already. I'm tired of the non adventurous, unproductive garbage and systems Parkinson promotes. He is unable or unwilling to change his philosophies, however much they fail. His history proves that so anyone looking forward to it changing we know will be disappointed. To me relegation really is a certainty because Anderson will not change things and it's so depressing when it could be avoided with the squad we already have under a better manager.
