Quite a good line from Football365.com who seemed to think that all the clues pointed to Lennon before ending with "it might be worth mentioning that Lennon won 4 games from 22 at the end of last season, from January 17th"
Good point, he isn't proven and I doubt the money men at Leicester have little sympathy that Darren Pratley and Craig Davies were injured. He is very much unproven still, even to us. It's only because he's such a refreshing change from Freedman that we love him at Bolton.

There is no loyalty Meggo so why would you expect if from NL? I really don't want him to go but if he did I wouldn't in any way hold it against him. I thought k keeping quiet is by far his best option then nobody can hold anything against him. In these situations he can't win so best to say nothing and see what happens. Treating people properly is better to keep your players on side than blabbering. Pity Freedman didn't do that.

there is plenty of loyalty....if you look for it...Gerrard, Wenger showed it arsenal ( never breaks contracts ) and got it returned by the board during his trophyless spell. Fergie too could have walked for bigger wages from Madrid and the like. Martinez turned down Villa the season before he left..and...winning the cup counts as earning your move...repaying faith.
i don't expect blind loyalty though...i do expect you to EARN a move. as OM has said above he still needs to fully prove it to us first. the way managers get sacked these days, if he really wants the Leics job, i'm sure it'll be available soon in a year or so. if they do get Hiddink, he's hardly gonna be around for 3 or 4 years.
plenty examples of people earning moves..pretty much standard practice...Suarez told to give another year at liv'pool. ronaldo at man u. even de gea has stayed for a decent spell and earned his move back. same with Anelka...didn't stay long but earned his move and very few held grudges about him going. even more amplified for managers....you're determining peoples futures... handing out 3 and 4 yr contracts , re-building..putting your stamp on the club..if he didn't give us one full summer tfr window at the very least , i think it's pretty despicable. if he wanted the Leics job..it's very simple....either wait for it...while unemployed or do a decent stint here and earn your move.

Didn't we poach Gary Megson from Leicester? What goes around! Even for us judgment should be reserved re NL.. So a risk for them.

Phil McNulty of the Beeb puts Neil Lennon as 8 out of 10 in his assessment of who should be the next Leicester manager, but Talksport had Hiddink as odds on fave, so who knows?? Like iv'e said on the BN, if he goes, maybe we should give the job to Nigel Pearson..

www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/13382041.Bolton_Wanderers_are_at_a_critical_time_____both_on_and_off_the_field/"At one end of the scale, Neil Lennon prepares his team under the weight of heavy speculation linking him with the vacant job at Premier League Leicester City. His obvious connections to the club, his winning track record, and his obvious affinity for the Foxes make him an outstanding candidate – yet with no approach forthcoming, he can only maintain a dignified silence. To come out publicly and dismiss the link would be disrespectful to the club that gave him his best playing days in English football. To endorse it would be a thumb in the eye for his current employers."Iles talking so much tripe . i've not heard that much since DF last spoke ! why would it be disrespectful to rule yourself out of the Leics job. ?? he can say it's a great club and a special club for him & he might like it at some point in the future but not now. he can say he's a man of his word and doesn't break contracts etc etc. they have no divine right to get him so he's being far more disrespectful to bwfc fans that he would be to Leics fans. Iles just trying to hoodwink the fans. the only exception i'd allow NL is if its over uncertainty over the new owners here. www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/07/01/why-former-usa-boss-bob-bradley-would-be-the-perfect-manager-for/if we did lose NL, i'd give Bob Bradley a try...working miracles apparently in Norway on the tightest of tight budgets..tipped for relegation but up near the top. maybe get Stu Holden on the staff too..see 1st pic in the link ! when Preki was tipped for the Leics job, i saw many commentators who knew the USA scene say they couldn't see Preki getting the Leics job but they did feel Bradley was the guy they expected to get a chance at a PL team. AT THE MO, HE'S IS THE FAVE for the Leics job. but NL still in 2nd place . update......blimey things change quick in this market..all that was true 1 hour ago...martin o neill is new fave 5/4. even seen 1/4 with will hill ! need a few more bookies to move to strong odds on and that done deal type scenario .

This needs the balance that it is perfectly possible NL is not interested in leaving us now! The fact that Leics have taken over a week and may have moved on to Preki plus is encouraging. That may have been a better way for Iles to write the narrative than inferring that NL is out of the firing line. If in due course Leics go back for NL and he accepts we can form opinion then.?

I don't think it would be "disrespectful" for someone to come out and say "I'm contracted to this club and my job is to get these players ready for the start of the season. From our last five managers before Neil we poached 4 of them and sacked the other after 10 weeks. So we can't blame any team who come in for Lennon. I'm still happier that the manager is getting linked with big jobs. Shows they're doing something right.
Looking at the list of names Poor Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is 66/1. One time "next Man Utd" manager, favourite for most other jobs and then accepted an awful offer from Cardiff which has killed his career. Same odds for Paul Lambert who I would have a serious look at if we do lose Neil. Did wonders with Norwich, similar project he'll face here and wasn't given the backing at Villa.
